13 Tongues is a flagship contemporary dance work that has captivated audiences from Taipei to London and Paris. Created with a distinctive collaboration between celebrated choreographer Cheng Tsung-lung and Taiwanese composer Lim Giong, the piece blends Taiwanese folk songs, Taoist chant, Nakashi/folk influences, and electronica into a dynamic, 65–80 minute performance. Since its premiere at the Taiwan International Festival of Arts (TIFA) in Taipei on March 11, 2016, 13 Tongues has toured to major venues worldwide, earning recognition as one of Asia’s leading contemporary dance works.
