About the artists: Asiya Korepanova is renowned for transcriptions and complete cycles of major composers, including Rachmaninoff and Liszt, and is celebrated for her sensitive, detail-focused approach to two-piano repertoire. Ilya Kazantsev brings a rich concert pedigree as a longtime member of the Hermitage Piano Trio, with a strong record in major competitions such as Rubinstein, Chopin Moscow, and World Piano Competitions. Together, they perform Russian masterworks (Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Shostakovich) and large-scale two-piano pieces, while also premiering new commissions like Con Brio for two pianos. Recent highlights include Korepanova’s arrangement of Rachmaninoff Variation 18, selected for Lang Lang’s Piano Book 2 (Deutsche Grammophon) in 2025.
