4x4 Ephemeral Architectures is a distinctive collaboration born from the creative partnership of Sean Gandini and Kati Ylä-Hokkala, the minds behind Gandini Juggling. Since premiering around 2014–2015, this performance fuses ballet-like choreography with juggling, offering a precise, kinetic exploration of form and movement. The show's music, written specifically for the production by Nimrod Borenstein (Suspended opus 69), helps shape a tension-filled atmosphere that complements the intricate precision of the performers. Based in London through Gandini Juggling, the company continues to push the boundaries of contemporary circus and dance, delivering works that are at once rigorously crafted and emotionally engaging.
