8 Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo is more than a show—it's a dedication to empowering Black cowboys and advancing rodeo culture. Founded by Ivan McClellan, the project began in Portland, Oregon in 2023 with a mission to spotlight Black athletes in every facet of rodeo. The group blends competitive events, community clinics, and development initiatives to nurture the next generation of riders across the country.
