9 Mile Music Festival is a storied Caribbean-rooted festival founded in 1993 by Cedella Marley Booker to honor Bob Marley. Originating as Marley Fest and later rebranded, the festival embraces reggae at its core while welcoming hip hop, rock, R&B, and other genres. Named after Nine Mile, Bob Marley’s birthplace in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica, the festival celebrates music, culture, and philanthropy with a laid-back vibe and a big, multi-genre lineup.
