A Billion Nights On Earth is a collaborative visual theatre project created by theatre director and performer Thaddeus Phillips and visual artist Steven Dufala. Known for its cinematic score and pop-up design techniques inspired by Kabuki aesthetics, this work brings together theatre, sculpture, and intimate storytelling to create immersive experiences. Phillips, a 2002 Pew Fellow and Doris Duke Performing Artist Award recipient (2016), partners with Dufala to craft a living artwork that unfolds through performance, installation, and design. While not a traditional musical act, the project has captivated audiences with its innovative approach to staging and storytelling.
