About Edmar Colón: A prominent voice in Boston’s Latin jazz scene, Colón is a Puerto Rican-born saxophonist, pianist, and composer whose career spans jazz, Latin Jazz fusion, and world-music collaborations. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, he frequently appears in ensembles and commissions across the Boston area, contributing to numerous contemporary and Latin-jazz performances. Colón’s recent projects include performances like Mambo Mania at the Berklee Performance Center (Mar 27, 2025), the Dec 2025 Sunday Serenades: Mambo Big Band at Spire Center (Plymouth), and Edmar Colón & Bob Toabe at The Mad Monkfish (Cambridge, Dec 17, 2025).
