People behind the production
Meet Jake Ehrenreich, the Brooklyn-born singer-actor behind the autobiographical rock ’n’ roll phenomenon A Jew Grows In Brooklyn 2.0. Son of a Holocaust survivor, Ehrenreich channels personal history into a multimedia, live-theater experience that blends photos, video, and a live band to tell a powerful coming-of-age story. The show builds on the momentum of the original 1.x run, which captivated Off-Broadway audiences for about 18 months and earned Ehrenreich widespread recognition, including induction into the Brooklyn Jewish Hall of Fame in 2016 and NYC’s proclamation of A Jew Grows in Brooklyn Day in 2012. A Jew Grows In Brooklyn 2.0 premiered in preview on January 12, 2018 and officially opened January 13, 2018 at Actors Temple Theater in New York, NY. Expect a compelling mix of storytelling, humor, and music that resonates with anyone who’s ever searched for identity through art.
