Based on a true story, A White Man's Guide to Riker's Island is a brisk, character-driven prison drama created by Rich Roy (Richard Roy) and Eric C. Webb and directed by Thomas G. Waites. The production centers on perspectives of white privilege within a correctional setting, brought to life by a powerful solo performance by Richard Roy, with Connor Chase Stewart portraying the younger Rich. The show first premiered in 2019 at The Producer's Club in New York City, with reports of extensions into late summer and early fall. It returned for an encore engagement in March–April 2022 at the Gene Frankel Theatre in Manhattan. While there are no publicly announced 2025 tour dates at this time, listings continue to highlight the production's impactful storytelling and vivid breakout moments.
