Active since 1993, A-Yue first captured wide attention with the breakthrough single Ai Wo Bie Zou (Love Me, Don’t Go) from the late 1990s Secret Base era. The track became a long-standing hit in Taiwan and China, solidifying his status as a crossover rock/pop icon. In 2014, his project I am Ayal Komod earned Best Mandarin Album at the Golden Melody Awards, underscoring his impact on Mandarin-language music and the representation of Indigenous artists in mainstream channels.
