Aaron Parks is a standout American jazz pianist and composer whose journey from Seattle to the global stage blends rigorous training with a visionary approach to harmony and rhythm. A University of Washington and Manhattan School of Music alum, Parks began his professional arc in Terence Blanchard's band, earning a Grammy-winning credit on A Tale of God’s Will (A Requiem for Katrina) with Blue Note in 2008. His discography spans Blue Note and ECM eras, with notable projects like Invisible Cinema (Blue Note, 2008), Arborescence, Find the Way (ECM), and the Little Big quartet—an inventive blend of fusion-forward jazz with Greg Tuohey, Ben Street, and Jongkuk Kim. Parks continues to release and tour, reasserting his place as a forward-thinking voice in modern jazz.
