The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Orchestra (ASMF) is one of the most celebrated chamber orchestras in the world. Founded in 1958 by Sir Neville Marriner, the group gave its first concert in 1959 at St Martin-in-the-Fields in London. Today, under the leadership of Music Director Joshua Bell since 2011, ASMF embraces a player-led, conductor-free approach in many performances, delivering intimate, vibrant performances across the globe.

ASMF’s recording legacy is highlighted by the Amadeus soundtrack (1984), which Marriner conducted to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Classical Albums chart. The ensemble’s excellence was recognized with the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement in 1993, underscoring its role as a global ambassador for British classical music.
