The Acadia Axemen have a rich hockey legacy, including USports championships in 1993 and 1996 and multiple tournament appearances across two decades. Under head coach Darren Burns (since 2001–02), the program has maintained a strong presence in Canadian university hockey. Home games are played at the Andrew H. McCain Arena, which seats approximately 1,800 fans, with additional on-ice surface capacity for concerts up to 1,000. For 2025–26, expect a schedule featuring pre-season games in September and a regular season facing rivals such as Moncton, Saint Mary’s, UNB, UPEI, Dalhousie, and StFX, with all home games hosted at the same arena. Tickets are available through the Acadia Box Office at acadiau.universitytickets.com, with box office details listed on the Axemen Tickets page.
