Advertisement emerged as a noteworthy force in the indie/alternative scene, delivering music that blends melodic gravitas with sharp, observational lyricism. The project gained critical momentum with the release of American Advertisement (2020) on Patchwork Fantasy. The record received praise from Pitchfork and NME, highlighting the band's fearless storytelling and resonant arrangements. Notably, the band committed 100% of album sales to the Trans Women of Color Solidarity Network, underscoring their commitment to social causes alongside their art.
Their sophomore LP, Escorts, arrived on September 15, 2023, through Feel It Records. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Mike Kriebel, Escorts expands on their sonic palette with richer textures and more expansive compositions. The release was complemented by live dates in Los Angeles at Gold Diggers and in San Francisco at Kilowatt, bringing their dynamic performances to intimate venues.
