Aephanemer is a French melodic death metal band formed in 2014 in Toulouse, led by Martin Hamiche alongside Marion Bascoul and a rotating lineup. They began with the Know Thyself EP and have since released a string of acclaimed albums, establishing themselves on the European metal scene. The group signed with Primeval Records for early releases and has been with Napalm Records since 2019, broadening their reach across Europe.

In 2025, they released the Utopie era singles La Règle du Jeu, Le Cimetière Marin, and Contrepoint, culminating in the late-2025 release of the final album single Contrepoint.
