A.e.r. is an interdisciplinary music project that merges atmospheric electronics with live instrumentation, crafted by a trio of seasoned experimental artists. The lineup features Ania Losinger (also known as Xala) on electronics and vocals, Jan Heinke (Stahlcello) on the string- bowed synth textures, and Mats Eser on marimba. Their collaboration began with The Lugano Session (2019), a joint album produced with RSI Lugano and Tonus Music Records, laying the groundwork for a distinct, reflective sound that blends electronics with acoustic timbres.

Following Jan Heinke's passing in April 2022, his work continued to resonate within the project. His recordings were later released as part of the solo Stahlcello project Singularity (2023/2024 materials) and informed the AËR 2024 release. The A Ë R album (2024) is a comprehensive double vinyl that compiles archival material, offering fans a tactile and immersive listening experience. Live performances under A.e.r. were paused during the lockdowns and, as of 2025, have not resumed publicly, adding a layer of anticipation for future live appearances.
