Agbedidi Africa Tickets

Agbedidi Africa is UF’s longstanding dance program, dedicated to celebrating African movement and its diaspora through a dynamic blend of traditional West African dance and contemporary choreographic approaches. The name agbedidi means long life in the Ewe language, reflecting the program’s mission to honor culture, community, and vitality on stage. As a signature part of the University of Florida’s arts offerings, Agbedidi Africa brings together guest West African artists and choreographers for an annual mainstage production that showcases movement, storytelling, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Located in Gainesville, FL, the Nadine McGuire Theatre and Dance Pavilion houses the Constans Theatre, where Agbedidi Africa performs as part of UF’s vibrant arts scene. The program is presented through UF College of the Arts, with tickets available through UF event pages (Ticketmaster integration on UF sites). While the production itself does not release music separately, its performances fuse rhythm, gesture, and community engagement to create a powerful live experience.
