Akademie fur Alte Musik Berlin is one of Europe’s leading ensembles specializing in Baroque and early Classical repertoire performed on period instruments. Founded in 1982 in East Berlin, the group has a storied history with a long-running Konzerthaus Berlin subscription since 1984, delivering historically informed performances that illuminate the musical language of the 17th and 18th centuries. The ensemble frequently collaborates with renowned artists and ensembles, including conductor and continuo pioneer René Jacobs and the RIAS Kammerchor, enriching its concert programs with insightful interpretive perspectives.
