The Akron Color Line Project is a theater and educational initiative produced by University of Akron students. Since its inception around 2011, the project has focused on collecting and presenting local civil rights stories to illuminate the history and experiences of the Akron community. While not a traditional touring music act, the project has earned recognition for engaging performances, community storytelling, and educational outreach. If you’re looking to support student-led theater that connects history with performance, this could be a meaningful addition to your cultural calendar.
