Alan Bishop is a cornerstone of experimental and underground music, known for his expansive career spanning decades. As a founding member of Sun City Girls (1981–2007), Bishop helped shape a distinct sound that blends psychedelic improvisation, global influences, and fearless experimentation. Beyond the band, he performs solo as Alvarius B. and collaborates with The Invisible Hands, while also co-founding the influential record label and music collective Sublime Frequencies. His work continues to influence artists across genres, from fiesty instrumental explorations to atonal storytelling.
