Founded in 1955, the Albuquerque Youth Symphony (AYSP) stands as one of the oldest and most respected youth-symphony programs in the United States. AYSP operates a multi-ensemble structure that includes Elementary, Middle School, and High School programs, with auditions held regularly to welcome new talent. The Youth Symphony, AYSP’s premier ensemble, brings together roughly 60–80 players who rehearse weekly and perform at high-profile venues, including Popejoy Hall twice per season and a December side-by-side with the New Mexico Philharmonic. AYSP has a storied history of international tours and notable performances, including a 2014 appearance at Carnegie Hall and tours across Costa Rica, Australia, Austria, and beyond. This page highlights AYSP’s biography, discography highlights, and upcoming 2025 tour information so you can secure your seats with confidence through Gold Coast Tickets.
