Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps is a flagship stage adaptation that proves you don’t need a big cast to deliver big laughs and big thrills. Based on the novel by John Buchan and the iconic Hitchcock film, the concept was born from the collaboration of Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon, with Patrick Barlow refining and premiering the stage version in 2005, debuting in London in 2006. Four actors portray more than 150 characters, delivering a brisk blend of suspense, espionage, and sly parody as they weave the story of a man on the run into a theatrical tour de force.
