Meet Alicia Odewale, a distinguished scholar, public historian, and advocate for Black history and resilience. As Professor of Practice and Director of Undergraduate Studies in African American Studies at the University of Houston, she leads academic programs while expanding public engagement with the African Diaspora. Through Archaeology Rewritten, she champions restorative justice and the study of Black heritage sites, including the Tulsa Greenwood district. Her work bridges academia, community, and storytelling, bringing crucial historical contexts to diverse audiences.
