Aline Morales is a Brazilian-Canadian performer whose music fuses Afro-Brazilian rhythms with global sounds. Her debut solo album, Flores, Tambores e Amores (2011), was self-released and soared to No. 1 on Canada’s Folk/World radio charts, solidifying her as a distinctive voice in world music. In 2012, her work Flores, Tambores e Amores earned a Juno nomination for World Music Album of the Year, marking an important milestone in her career.
Her 2021 release, Toadas do Norte, came out on Lula World Records, continuing her exploration of rhythms from the Lusophone world and beyond. Aline is also a dynamic performer and organizer—she founded Baque de Bamba and co-leads Maracatu Nunca Antes, while contributing to Kuné, the Global Orchestra, a collective that bridges cultures through music.
