Alla Voskoboynikova is a distinguished pianist, educator, and collaborative artist based in the United States with roots in Ukraine. She began her career at the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theater as a pianist and vocal coach, later shaping a remarkable path in higher education and professional performance. Since 2004, she has served as Director of Keyboard Studies at the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL), expanding access to rigorous piano training and mentorship for generations of students. A Teaching Professor of Piano since 2018, Alla remains active as a performer and collaborator, regularly working with members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, as well as organizations like Union Avenue Opera and the Opera Theatre of St. Louis. She is a frequent figure in the St. Louis chamber music community and a respected advocate for classical and contemporary programming.

Alla’s performance highlights include a Carnegie Hall recital with flutist Brenda Hagni (1998) and work as a Tchaikovsky Competition accompanist (1994). Her discography centers on Barbara Harbach projects (Vol. 4–Vol. 6, Vol. 10, Vol. 14, Vol. 16, Vol. 18) with many volumes featuring her as pianist, alongside the 2023 INcanto release. In 2016 she earned the Steinway & Sons Top Teacher Award and was inducted into the Steinway Teacher Hall of Fame in 2023. Looking ahead, Alla is set for a busy 2025 season with performances at the Sheldon, 560 Music Center, Touhill, and the Old Cathedral, bringing her distinctive touch to diverse programs.
