Almost, Maine is a beloved romantic comedy play written by John Cariani. Set in the fictional town of Almost, Maine, the play consists of nine interconnected vignettes that explore love and loss in a small New England setting. Developed at the Cape Cod Theatre Project in 2002, its world premiere occurred in 2004 at the Portland Stage Company, with an Off-Broadway run in 2006. The play was published by Dramatists Play Service in 2007 and later revived to critical acclaim by Transport Group in 2014. It’s widely produced in schools and community theatres and remains a staple title in North American educational theatre.
