Amadeus Choir Tickets

Amadeus Choir is a semi-professional chorus based in Toronto, drawing singers from the Greater Toronto Area to create ambitious, vibrant choral work. Guided by Artistic Director Kathleen Allan and featuring Conductor Emerita Lydia Adams in select 2024/25 performances, the ensemble is known for its commitment to new music, education initiatives like Emerging Canadian Voices, and collaborations with professional ensembles. The choir’s repertoire spans from classical to contemporary, with a notable record of commissioned works and inventive programming.

Key milestones include seven major CD releases from 1994–2015, with Voices of Earth (2015) standing among their most celebrated recordings. Their 2003 JUNO Award for Classical Composition (Requiem for a Charred Skull), tied to Voices on High, and the 2014 ACCC Outstanding Innovation Award for Music of the Spheres highlight the ensemble’s impact on Canadian music. In 2025, Amadeus Choir continues to tour and educate with projects and performances such as Vertigo: A Choral Tango (Nov 1, 2025, The Playground, Toronto) and Christmas Oratorio (Dec 7, 2025, Kingston Road United Church).
