Among the Darkest Shadows Tickets

Among the Darkest Shadows is a powerful evening-length dance-theatre work by Inlet Dance Theatre, a Cleveland-based company known for blending contemporary movement with cinematic storytelling. The piece, approximately 75 minutes, explores the harrowing realities of modern-day slavery through a magical realism lens, weaving dance, text, and imagery to tell the stories of Lodi and Pinta, victims of labor and sex trafficking. Created in collaboration with Playwright José Cruz González, and with concept and direction by Inlet in partnership with González and Bert Goldstein, this work premiered at the Wharton Center, Michigan State University, Pasant Theatre in East Lansing from February 16–19, 2017. The production received support from the Arts Midwest Touring Fund and has contributed to a broader conversation about human rights through the arts.
