Amos Yang is a distinguished cellist recognized for his expansive musical voice and leadership as the Assistant Principal Cello and Karel & Lida Urbanek Chair at the San Francisco Symphony since 2007. His career blends symphonic leadership, chamber music, and rigorous pedagogy. A former member of the Seattle Symphony and the Maia String Quartet, Yang has established himself as a versatile artist with a rich educational footprint. He also teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and remains affiliated with the Tianjin Juilliard School, contributing to the next generation of extraordinary musicians.
