An Evening of Harp and Guitar brings together two virtuosos in a seamless fusion of traditional Irish music with hot jazz, bluegrass, and baroque influences. Founded by Máire Ní Chathasaigh (harp) and Chris Newman (guitar), the duo first captivated audiences at the Cambridge Folk Festival in 1987 and has since become a benchmark for inventive Celtic instrumental performance. Their live shows weave original compositions with remarkable arrangements, including elements from Chris’s Breaking Bach project, creating a rich, genre-defying experience.
