Andras Keller is a prominent figure in contemporary classical music, blending a deep devotion to Hungarian modernists with dynamic conducting and chamber music leadership. Born in 1960 in Budapest, Keller studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music before shaping the sound of Hungarian ensembles as a founder of the Keller Quartet in 1987. As Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Concerto Budapest since 2007, he has guided the orchestra to international stages and acclaimed performances. Keller’s career is marked by charting new ground in chamber music and fostering collaborations with ECM, reinforcing his role as a pivotal ambassador for Hungarian music worldwide.
