Andrei Feher is a Romanian-born, Montreal-raised conductor known for his precise musical leadership and collaborative approach with orchestras across North America and Europe. Born in 1991, Feher began his conducting career in assistant roles in Québec and Paris before stepping into prominent posts, including a tenure as Music Director of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony from 2018, with a contract through 2027 that ultimately concluded in 2023 amid the orchestra’s bankruptcy. His rising international profile includes a 2019 BBC Symphony Orchestra debut conducted on a Stravinsky/Poulenc program. Feher is set to become the Music Director of the Orchestre classique de Montréal for the 2025/26 season, shaping Montreal’s classical music landscape for years to come.
