His prolific solo career in the 1970s yielded enduring songs like Reggae Tune (UK No. 10) and Wide Eyed and Legless (UK No. 6). Beyond solo work, Andy collaborated with notable musicians in projects like The Gaddabouts, releasing two albums with Edie Brickell, Steve Gadd, and Pino Palladino in 2011 and 2012. In 2025, The Invisible Bluesman marked a high-charting blues release with strong critical reception, underscoring Andy’s enduring relevance in the blues and rock scenes.
