Andy Leftwich is a renowned bluegrass fiddler and guitarist whose career blends traditional Appalachian roots with contemporary flair. A former member of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, he joined the group in 2001 and contributed to multiple IBMA and Grammy-winning projects. Beyond his work with Skaggs, Leftwich leads the project known as Andy Leftwich and The Aces (often referred to as the core group on the Aced session—Kilby, House, and Menefee). His solo recordings and collaborations push bluegrass forward with Celtic and Irish influences, delivering intricate fiddle melodies and masterful storytelling.
