Angelo Xiang Yu is a renowned violinist whose artistry blends technical mastery with expressive depth. A 2010 winner of the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition (First Prize, Bach Prize, Audience Prize), he has continued to distinguish himself on the world stage. In 2019, he received the Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award, marking him as a rising star with a strong performing arc. Since November 2020, he has served as second violin with the Shanghai Quartet, expanding his chamber music footprint while maintaining a dynamic solo career.
