Meet Ankush Bahl, a dynamic conductor celebrated for bold, contemporary programming and collaborative concert design. Former Music Director of the Omaha Symphony (2021–25) and Artistic Partner for the 2025/26 season, Bahl is known for shaping a forward-looking orchestral voice that resonates with today’s audiences. His leadership helped the ensemble commission, premiere, and record works with a fresh perspective, including a world-premiere recording of Sculptures by Andy Akiho with the Omaha Symphony—an album that earned three Grammy nominations for the ensemble in 2024. Bahl’s artistry spans continents and genres, conducting major orchestras around the world and fostering partnerships that spotlight living composers and innovative programming. He continues to expand his influence from his base in Omaha, with a trajectory that connects education, performance, and community engagement.
