Appalachian State Opera Tickets

Appalachian State Opera is the Opera Workshop of the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Directed by Visiting Professor of Voice Dr. Tyler Young, the program designs, plans, and produces major productions or opera scenes programs each semester. This is where students gain hands-on experience from concept through performance, guided by a professional faculty and guest artists. Past productions highlight the program’s versatility, from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Die Zauberflöte (2017) to Sweeney Todd (2018), The Old Maid and the Thief (2018), Trouble in Tahiti (2018), Die Fledermaus (2019), The Tender Land (2022), and more recent titles like Dido and Aeneas (2023) and A Little Night Music (2024). The 2025 tour featured a double bill, Cendrillon (Cinderella) and Le Docteur Miracle, staged October 30 and November 1, 2025 at the Appalachian Theatre in Boone, NC.
