Ariel Rotenberg Gutkin, known professionally as Ariel Rot, is a cornerstone of Spanish rock. Born in Buenos Aires on April 19, 1960, he moved to Spain in 1976 and helped form the influential band Tequila, contributing to the late 1970s–1981 era that shaped modern Spanish rock. After Tequila, Rot joined Los Rodríguez from 1990–1996, before launching a prolific solo career that spans acclaimed albums and dynamic live performances. Today, Rot continues to tour and record, engaging fans with his distinctive guitar work, emotive storytelling, and enduring partnership with Warner Music Spain on later works like La Huesuda (2013) and La Manada (2016).
