The Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions women's basketball program has a storied legacy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Competing in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), the team plays home games at the Gayle Kaundart Arena at the Stubblefield Center. Under head coach Ryan McAdams (as of the 2024-25 season), the Lions achieved one of their best seasons in years, finishing eight games above.500. The 2025-26 schedule features 28 games, including 19 conference games and the MIAA/GAC Challenge. The program traces its championship pedigree back to the undefeated 1994-95 NJCAA National Championship season at Westark College (now UAFS). The Lions are supported by a growing Hall of Fame presence in 2025, with inductees connected to women’s basketball staff and program alumni.
