Armida is a Berlin-founded string quartet celebrated for its refined Mozart interpretations and collaborative approach with leading publishers and festivals. Since forming in 2006, the ensemble—comprising Martin Funda, Johanna Staemmler, Teresa Schwamm, and Peter-Philipp Staemmler—has established itself as a prominent voice in contemporary classical music interpretation. Their career highlights include top prizes at the ARD International Music Competition, recognition as BBC New Generation Artists, and the EU’s ECHO Rising Stars program. Armida’s dedication to a complete Mozart string quartets project with Henle Verlag culminated in a 2023 box set, underscoring their status as meticulous interpreters of the Classical period.
