Art of VIII School of Dance Tickets

Art of VIII School of Dance, founded by Janicka A. Arthur, is a Dallas-based movement education hub dedicated to empowering adult dancers through technical training, creative exploration, and performance opportunities. With formal training from The Chicago Academy for the Arts and Southern Methodist University, Arthur established Art of VIII to create accessible pathways for adults to explore ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and other dance forms.

Located in the Dallas area at 13740 Midway Rd Unit 710, Dallas, TX 75244, the studio offers a structured yet flexible education model designed for serious dancers and hobbyists alike. In addition to core classes, the school features specialized programs that support progression, artistry, and technique in a supportive, non-elitist environment.

Upcoming highlights: The 2025 feature performance, Rebirth of the Phoenix: Ascension, streams as a featured show on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, TX. The production includes guest performances from groups such as 6’oclock Dance Theater and Evolution Tango, with the Eisemann Center providing official ticketing information.

Staff spotlight: Kevin Petite, a former Alvin Ailey Fellow who has performed with Ailey II, Twyla Tharp’s Movin’ Out, and Disney’s The Lion King on tour and Broadway, demonstrates the caliber of mentorship available at Art of VIII.
