The Asheville Symphony Chorus (ASC) has been a central voice in Asheville’s musical landscape since 1991, founded by DeWitt Tipton as part of the Asheville Symphony Society. The chorus performs with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra and also pursues independent concert programs, delivering a diverse repertoire that spans from Renaissance motets to contemporary choral works. The ASC Chamber Chorus specializes in a dynamic mix of Renaissance, Brahms, Appalachian folk, and spirituals, giving audiences a broad and engaging choral experience.
