Ashley Ballet Arts Academy (ABAA) has been a cornerstone of ballet training in Golden Valley, Minnesota since 2012. Founded by Ashley Burkland, ABAA offers a rigorous, age-spanning curriculum rooted in classical ballet with a strong Vaganova influence. Our studio at 1000 Boone Ave N, Suite 360 serves dancers from age 3 through adult, providing a welcoming path from beginner studies to advanced performance preparation. Whether you’re stepping onto the studio floor for the first time or pursuing professional-level training, we’ve got you.

ABAA emphasizes technical precision, artistry, and performance opportunities that showcase growth. Dancers have opportunities to participate in hallmark productions such as The Nutcracker, Défilé, and the Ballet Arts Youth Ensemble (BAYE). We maintain a warm, professional environment designed to build confidence, discipline, and joy in movement.

Upcoming highlights include the 2025 Nutcracker performances at Ted Mann Concert Hall in Minneapolis, with shows on Saturday, December 13 at 2pm and 6pm, and Sunday, December 14 at 1pm and 5pm. The BAYE program, for dancers roughly aged 9–18, remains a core focus with its own concert and festival participation; the 2026 BAYE Concert, titled Continuum, is planned with tickets going on sale January 14. The 2025–2026 season calendar features Nutcracker-related activities, BAYE events, and Défilé. For those in the Twin Cities area, ABAA’s Golden Valley studio continues to be a hub for continued training and performance opportunities.
