The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus (AGMC) is one of the world’s oldest gay and lesbian choruses, founded in 1981 by Jeffrey D. McIntyre. As part of Voices of Note and a member of GALA Choruses, AGMC operates with a mission to create music that entertains, inspires, and connects communities across Atlanta and the region. From Broadway and classical repertoire to jazz and contemporary popular songs, AGMC blends artistry with advocacy, celebrating LGBTQ+ voices through powerful, inclusive performances.

Located in the heart of Atlanta, AGMC participates in landmark gatherings, collaborates with regional arts organizations, and headlines concerts that attract diverse audiences. AGMC’s history includes milestones like being the first openly gay group invited to the Georgia State Capitol (December 20, 2013) and earning formal recognition from the Georgia House (HR 1787, March 12, 2014). The chorus has welcomed notable guests and collaborations, including Maya Angelou (1998), the Atlanta Ballet (1999), Matt Alber (2015), and Jessica Vosk (2022). In recent seasons, fans have looked forward to major engagements such as Disney PRIDE in Concert with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (June 21, 2025, at Atlanta Symphony Hall) and This Is Me! (March 15, 2025, at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, Emory). The 45th Holiday Concert is set for December 5–6, 2025, at the Cathedral of St. Philip. COVID-19 briefly paused festival appearances, but AGMC remains an active, vital voice in choral music, touring and performing across Georgia and beyond.
