Austen's Pride brings a modern, lyrical retelling of Pride and Prejudice through an original score described as gorgeous and integral to the show's narrative. Created by Lindsay Warren Baker (book, music, lyrics) and Amanda Jacobs (book, music, lyrics), this musical project has evolved from a Seattle premiere in 2019 at The 5th Avenue Theatre to a landmark Carnegie Hall concert in June 2023 (Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage) featuring a star-studded cast. A full live album from that Carnegie Hall performance was announced for release in June 2024, with five live singles released earlier in 2024: Fine Eyes, Take a Walk, Darcy’s Letter, Not Romantic, and When I Fall in Love. The 2025 touring schedule visits multiple cities across the U.S., bringing the show’s lush orchestration and intimate storytelling to new audiences.
