Biographical snapshot: The Austin Aztex originated as Austin Aztex FC (2008–2010), then relocated to Orlando in 2010 to become Orlando City SC. A revived Austin Aztex operated from 2011–2017 in Austin, competing in USL and PDL across multiple seasons. The team’s home ground was House Park, a historic venue in downtown Austin that faced major disruptions following the 2015 Memorial Day floods. After relocating to Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex and an eventual hiatus in 2016, the Aztex did not return to USL and have since remained inactive in competitive soccer in Austin.
Major honors: 2013 USL PDL Championship, along with 2013 USL PDL Southern Conference and Mid-South Division titles. While there are no current 2025 tour dates for the club, the Aztex’ legacy persists in the region’s ongoing soccer culture.
