The Austin Peay Governors entered the ASUN Conference for the 2022-23 season after a storied 61-year run in the Ohio Valley Conference. Under head coach Corey Gipson, named the 14th APSU head coach in March 2023, the Governors play home games at the modern F&M Bank Arena, opened in 2023 in downtown Clarksville. The program has seven NCAA Tournament appearances (six official due to 1973 bid vacated), with the most recent in 2016 against Kansas. The 2024-25 season saw Tate McCubbin earn ASUN Freshman of the Year honors, highlighting APSU’s rising star depth. The 2025-26 schedule features 18 ASUN conference games and a 12-game nonconference slate, with all home games at F&M Bank Arena.
