Biography
Babble Lab originated from the creative leadership of Autumn Ness, a prolific theatre artist known for immersive, sound-based performance. Ness has been profiled in American Theatre for her innovative approach and long-standing work with CTC (Children's Theatre Company) in Minneapolis. Babble Lab expands Ness’ work into a accessible format for very young audiences, blending live theatre with auditory play to foster early literacy and curiosity.
Discography Highlights
While Babble Lab is a theatre piece rather than a musical album, the show’s “sound-based” approach has been released for broader access via Alliance Theatre Anywhere. The accompanying stream (Babble Lab Stream) debuted August 5–11, 2024, expanding the reach of this family-friendly experience beyond the stage.
Upcoming Tour & Licensing
World premiere co-production with Alliance Theatre, with a Minneapolis run (Cargill Stage, CTC) taking place March 9–April 14, 2024, and an Atlanta run (Hertz Stage, Alliance Theatre) from June 22–July 28, 2024. The production is also licensed for productions worldwide through Plays for New Audiences, enabling theatres globally to present Babble Lab in their own venues. For theatres and producers, Babble Lab offers an accessible, sound-driven format ideal for early childhood programming.
