Backhausdance is a non-profit contemporary dance company founded in 2003 by Jennifer Backhaus and based in Orange County, California. Known for a fluid fusion of classical and contemporary styles, the company delivers athletic, emotionally driven works that captivate audiences across stages and community spaces. With a commitment to education and outreach, Backhausdance operates robust BD Education programs and runs an annual Backhausdance Summer Intensive, engaging dancers and families throughout Orange County and beyond.

Led by a passionate artistic team, Backhausdance has earned multiple honors, including 10 Lester Horton Awards from the Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles and the Outstanding Arts Organization award from Arts OC in 2012.
