Biography
Bale Folclorico Da Bahia (BFB) was founded in 1988 and is anchored in Salvador, specifically the Pelourinho neighborhood, where Teatro Miguel Santana serves as a steadfast home for company performances. As the only professional folk dance company in Brazil, BFB dedicates its art to the traditions of Bahia’s Afro-Brazilian communities, presenting works that celebrate resilience, rhythm, and community through dance.
